• You can call me or reach out through my contact page to get started. I will be able to answer your questions about getting started with this process, and if you choose to initiate psychotherapy, we can move forward with scheduling your first session.

  • I will send you an email inviting you to review your intake documents online through the confidential Simple Practice patient portal. You will need to review/complete/sign your intake forms in advance of your first appointment. I will be available to answer your questions related to accessing the documents and clarifying the content therein. These documents address important information like my practice policies and how I protect your confidentiality.

  • It will be important for us to have the full duration of your intake session to get to know one another. I encourage you to plan accordingly by setting aside additional travel time for your first visit.

In your intake session(s) I will be asking you various biographical questions to enhance my understanding of your presenting concerns and treatment goals. We will also discuss confidentiality, relevant information about my practice, and preliminary treatment recommendations.

Meeting someone new can be stressful, and I understand that meeting a professional to discuss personal concerns can tag on an added layer of stress. In addition to establishing safe and comfortable conditions for your therapy, my priority is to meet you wherever you are at emotionally and get a sense of your treatment needs through working collaboratively with you to get to know you and your story. It can take time to build trust and feel comfortable being open with someone new, and I encourage you to be communicative with me about your needs throughout this process.

  • My fee is $200 per 45-minute session.

I am able to offer an adjusted sliding scale fee when indicated. Fees will be reassessed annually.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means that while I am not currently on any insurance panels, I am able to provide you with a superbill document to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Check with your health insurance provider to verify whether your plan covers treatment rendered by out-of-network psychologists.

  • I have a 48-hour cancellation policy, which means that your fee will be waived for missed sessions if you notify me at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time. If you notify me at least 24 hours ahead of your appointment, I may still be able to offer alternate times to reschedule to based on mutual availability within the work week. However, if we are unable to schedule a make-up appointment time, or if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your session, you will still be responsible for payment. Insurance companies do not reimburse for missed or late-cancelled appointments.
